March 30, 2024 - Did a comparison tasting with the 2018 over the course of a meal with appropriate decanting and breathing beforehand. Both are well built delightful wines where the 2018 carries more tannin and grape while tilting less into the dark fruit and “boldness” of the 2019. Both wines are a success and the taster makes their choice on personal preference.

March 23, 2024 - Too sweet for me, but for most at the party it was the best of the ten wines I opened. Each to his own.

March 8, 2024 - We enjoyed this bottle. Dark fruits, with a hint of mineral and spice. It is a big and dark wine with rounded and deep flavors. It does lean a little sweet.

Maybe we had lower expectations because other Hope labels have been a major disappointment. This lived up to its billing.

Agree with other reviews about this not being one to age.

January 26, 2024 - One big fruit bomb. Too much sugar for me. Wanted to like it, tried to like it but I couldn’t do it. Wife enjoyed it though so it did not go to waste

November 23, 2023 - Decanted and breathed, moderate sediment, hit form after about 50 minutes of breathing, went quite well with turkey, roast vegetables, stuffing; As others have said - large fruity (berries) wine with consistent smooth flavor, delightful

October 9, 2023 - Deep purple color. Great nose of dark berries, herbs, oak. On the palate, acidity is a little weak and cannot balance the high abv and some perceived sweetness. Very enjoyable now but not one for long term aging.

October 8, 2023 - Pop and pour for Thanksgiving weekend. I have enjoyed the 2020, and I preferred it to this vintage.

A bit of a fruit bomb on this bottle with pie crust, blackberry, stewed dark fruit and vanilla. Subtle oak, but most prominent flavors were confectionery fruit.

Med+ bodied, very sweet, smooth and slightly flabby.

For the price, I would skip this in future, but still enjoyable depending on the mood. This is a well crafted wine, but not as much for my taste.
