September 26, 2018 - Very solid performance. Dark, bricking color. Aromas of dark fruit confit, with a hint of brush/spice. Well balanced and long. At peak.

February 11, 2017 - Meh. This was solid, but completely unspectacular. Plenty of bright red and dark fruit with some understated earth and leathery notes, but not much else going on here. Clean but lacking the mature/complex flavours I'd expect from a Bandol at this stage.

August 4, 2013 - Twenty years young. In a perfect place right now, secondary fruit and leather, campfire, etc. Very mineral and still somewhat tannic. What a treat.

October 24, 2010 - This had more depth than I was expecting. I would not have guessed this as Mourvedre blend. Drinking great now but good though 2015

November 26, 2009 - Superb and archtypal pure Mourvedre Bandol, drinking just fabulously, right in the middle of secondaries, still young. Dark fruit, animale, leather, bonfire. Traditional, clean style.

(La Bastide Blanche Bandol Longue Garde) Bricking medium cranberry red color with clear meniscus; mature, barbecue smoke, mushroom bisque, lamb jus and sage nose; more youthful on palate of spicy berry, black fruit, herbs, sage, charcoal and smoke; medium finish
