April 3, 2024 - Popped and poured, followed over several evenings. Outstanding Chardonnay, just delicious; no off notes. Powerful.

February 29, 2024 - Fresh, full-bodied and lively, this Corton Charlemagne clone was spectacular. Thoroughly enjoyed with top quality sushi and Joe’s key lime pie. Loved it!

December 30, 2023 - Decanted one hour before service. In the glass, medium-pale, slightly cloudy yellow. On the nose, petrol funk, lemon, and smoke. On the palate, crisp citric acidity on the attack, opening into a smoother, more unctuous mix of lemon and smoky oak - not elements that evoke an unctuous mouthfeel, I know, but here we are. The finish tightens up with more acidity and what feels like some unresolved tannins - bracing, but appealing.

December 24, 2023 - White peaches and tea on the nose, with a whiff of thyme. The palate shows notes of honey, peaches, and cream. Medium-long finish. Nice pairing with pasta and Delicata squash with a Béchamel sauce for Christmas Eve.

Aubert makes nice Chards, but I’m still not sure they’re worth double the price I pay for some of the higher end bottlings from producers like Williams Selyem and Martinelli. Maybe I’m drinking these too young, so I’ll try again with more age.

December 5, 2023 - Carol was gifted this bottle by great CT friend Agelvis, a while back and with family visiting and Carol making her famous Miso glazed sea bass, it was a perfect time to pop it open. Decanted in the cellar for about 1 hour then poured at the table as we sat down to eat. Cloudy medium yellow in the glass indicative of its leesy unfiltered process. Sweet lemon cream, vanilla, white florals and maybe slight beeswax on the nose. Palate reflects much of the same but the main takeaway is the near perfect balance of the wine in all regards. This improved a point or two from 93 to 95 over an hour of more air and warming a bit to room temp. It remained balanced throughout and even after our meal as we sat discussing various menu/meal preparations for the remainder of the week. The wine is not overly weighty, nor oaky nor buttery, nor over acidified, it is expertly crafted and balanced. My brother had never had one of these before even though Aubert was the #1 wine of choice of his former CEO of many years. He very much enjoyed tonight's bottle. Thanks again Ag for the great gift.....
