October 3, 2023 - Tuesday after dinner drinks in the neighbourhood. Tasted blind. Drank in Conterno Sensory.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, bright ruby colour with a bit of purple. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of peony florals, lovely red cherries, ripe berries, stony minerals. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), structured medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet pretty red cherries, ripe red strawberries, boysenberries, spices, salty salinity and stony minerality. Long finish.
Very good quality. Still young and early days, but already improved from the bottle tried a year ago. Has put on some weight and showing more. -
