September 9, 2020 - Savory dark fruit with soft velvety tannins but lacked focus overall. Great mouth feel, but seems to be hiding its light under the proverbial bushel. Probably peaked about 2016, then fruit declined rapidly. Served with prime steak, which was a winning if slightly underwhelming pairing due to the subdued character of the wine.

July 26, 2016 - I'm torn between enjoying a very smooth, velvety berry explosion, and realizing that this was my last bottle of '04 Prop. Red. Thinking this would still be good for a few more years if well cellared. At any rate, I'm going to enjoy every drop of this bottle.
