November 17, 2023 - A very pleasant young Barolo that shows promise for further development. Didn't seem to need a decant, so popped and poured. 60 F. Lovely nose of rose, raspberry and cherry. Pleasant lively acidity, no noticeable heat or oak, tannins gradually developed a velvety texture with a bit of grip. Big cherry fruit on the palate, notes of tar, leather and an earthy minerality. Nice, lingering finish. Will try to hold off for a few years before I open my next bottle.

October 5, 2023 - S'ouvre sur de beaux aromes de reglisse noir, cerises, de fraises et de belles notes florales. En bouche, c'est plus austère (millésime?). Les tannins sont puissants et encore fermes et on observe une finale moyenne.

July 30, 2023 - I think this is the first 2017 Barolo I have tasted. Beautiful and fragrant nose of fruit and mint. This was popped and poured, and the wine was very approachable early on, but with time, the tannin started to emerge. A solid wine, and one of the best values in Barolo that I am aware of.

July 9, 2023 - Excellent QPR and a good option to pop and pour on short notice as this doesn’t really need any decanting time. Nice acidity to pair well with a pasta dish.

May 16, 2023 - Minor sediment. Medium to deep red.
Restrained nose. Hinting at Nebbiolo rose petals.
Classic flavours of rose petals and tar. Still somewhat subdued. Good length, medium weight. Still defined by its acid and tannin. Needs time.
