December 9, 2023 - Dark ruby red with pink rim. Ripe red fruits, redcurrant, raspberry, dark cherry, tobacco, black tea, earth, old wood, liquorice and spices. Medium-high acidity, medium-full bodied, medium tannin, medium-high alcohol, and medium candied finish. Robust and round on the palate with some minor edges.
Complex but it tasted somewhat commercial which is typical of most negociant wines. I paid USD90 in June 2023 and have definitely over paid for this bottle. -

November 10, 2023 - Strawberries, some sour cherries, a bit of tart tobacco, long finish and good balance.

June 23, 2023 - decanted for 15min, medium ruby core and rim, red and black fruits, floral and earthy on nose. Strawberry, raspberry, plum, dark chocolate on palette. High acidity, medium to light body with medium to soft tannin. Medium finish. Grapes were partially destemmed, wines were aged in 20-30% new French oak barrels for 14 months. This wine is less structured but slightly higher intensity in fruity taste and slightly longer finish compared to 2019 Faiveley GC La Combe aux Moines 1er Cru. 91pts
