March 31, 2024 - This is a first class wine. Can't quite believe I don't have a prior note for it. Lovely nose combining mature dried fruit - prune and date - but with the fresh mint and mature cassis, and then a layer of earthy dried leaves. On the palate, a certain creamy caffe latte character. Unctuous and delicious. Perfectly mature, drink or hold. Very sad this is my last bottle.

January 15, 2023 - Lovely dark, rich, deep crimsom.
OMG, a perfume of real class, depth and richness. Top quality fruit, plum, asian spice, vanilla, herb, oak, cassis, pepper, some caramel and a little alcohol. A nose of delicious complexity.
Palate; quite a reflection of the nose. Dark ripe fruit, with secondary hints emerging. Rich, mouth coating and harmonious. Tannins are soft and integrated. Real depth of flavor to the palate.
Finish is long and more-ish and complex.
This wine is waving a large sign... 'Open For Business!'.
The kind of wine that reminds you, why you got into drinking wine in the first place.
    Will be a 'classic'.

December 26, 2019 - Deep ruby with slight fading pink edges. Spicy paprika aromas, and somewhat rosy. Tannins still showing, whilst somewhat rounded, and still with a great deal of alcohol heat, with flavours of red cherry, roses, twigs, leaf and grass, and a slight bit of tar and smoked meat. Finished pretty long with the cherry, grass and tar lingering. Good wine!

October 5, 2019 - Dinner at Windsor Arms. Quick double decant then drank over 2 hours. Cork enclosure. Fill is high and cork was in good condition. Dark purple, almost black. Full body. Dense and concentrated, lots of black fruit but quite fresh. Notes of cocoa and coffee. Still youthful, with years ahead of it. This bottle provides ample evidence of the aging capability of Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon.

April 28, 2019 - Last bottle of this rather pleasant stuff...splash decanted and consumed over a couple of hours with a minor lamb chop intervention for old times sake...on the nose biscuit, toasted blackcurrant over a little eucalyptus and tomato leaf, initially a little reductive as well (not entirely unexpected after 15 years under screwcap - hence the aggressiveness of the decant). On the palate, though, this is wonderfully integrated with still fresh blackcurrant tending to creme de cassis, a little vanilla, cedar, talc textured tannic burr and a slug of alcohol heat on the long finish. Nice.

October 21, 2018 - Amazing, had it with Chinese with a group and was outstanding. Tannins had mellowed and incredible length and mouth feel. Nose was earthy and woody, colour clung to the glass and tasted dark berries.

October 18, 2018 - Breathed for two hours. Blackcurrants, blueberry, olives, and leather with a hint of pine. Very supple tannin's. Rather smooth but nothing amazing. Very good nonetheless.

It's possible but i doubt it will improve much if any.

September 24, 2017 - Decanted for around two hours before consumption
An initial taste showed quite tight & youthful
    Softened & opened with time
Blackcurrants, blueberry, olive, leather, pencil shaving.
    Tannins starting to recede.
Very nice but perhaps a touch one dimensional
Certainly no rush but I'm not convinced it will reach any lofty heights
