August 31, 2023 - very good with a few years left

May 8, 2023 - This bottle was rather elegant and suave, and is in a good place for opening.

January 13, 2023 - Decanted for one hour. Barely translucent dark ruby. Nose of robust, healthy smells: earthy berry, acrid cherry pits, high-pitched violets, dense soil. Layers of sinuous but expressive red raspberry and dark plum fruit on the granite-like palate cut with fine iron and brambles. Hints of residual oak amidst the fruit. Firm but filed-off tannin balancing freshening acidity. Longer finish of iron, deep red-black fruit, and compacted earth. A compelling wine of energy and structure relieved by satin.

May 4, 2020 - at least 3-4 more years left easily at it's peak. Old Dirardin this is not. alas.

April 23, 2020 - Wonderful wine. Give it 30-60 minutes in decanter and wow!
