December 17, 2009 - Very nice well structured Old World Pinot.
Earthy and nice all spice aromas.
Palat is medium modied showing some unique fleshy grip. Rustic and hay play as well.

November 26, 2009 - This wine was terrific - my first German Pinot Noir. Complex nose of gentle spice, fruit and wood. Pungent smokey flavors of peat and earth. European in style - no candied fruits here. Built for mushrooms and roasted meats. Now to find some more!

July 2, 2008 - A rather uninspiring Spätburgunder, I'm afraid. Quite light-bodied (so far so good) but not delicate in either aroma or flavor. There's a bit of raspberry and cherry fruit here but not a whole lot, nor is there much in the way of earth, mineral, nuance, character, etc. It's not shut down and it's not bad; it's just not very good. Consistent notes over two nights.

March 25, 2008 - Absolutely delicious mix of cherry, earth, a little mushroom, and some interesting minerality and wood. Very well balanced with lots of good fruit, but not as fruit forward as California Pinots. Complex and enjoyable. A little thinner than I would have expected, but this is my first German Pinot so I have no real idea. I've had equivalent/slightly better Pinots for slightly less money, but for $29 I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.
