November 6, 2023 - Pop and pour. Austere, almost bitter, some forest floor, perhaps a bit of wood. Dry, very dry. Sour cherry and dark fruits, if you can find them through the distraction of everything else. After a glorious experience a few days prior with the '16 Salicutti Teatro, this was a big disappointment. It improved slightly over the course of a few hours, but that Teatro was amazing from the start so not sure air can rescue this. With 5 more in the cellar, I'm hoping this was an odd bottle but my expectations are not high.

May 19, 2023 - Very open right from the start. Cherry, raspberry, herbs, aged leather, damp earth…. Very good but drinks like it’s 10 plus years old.
