July 6, 2020 - I guess the secret is out. 92 Rousseau drinking very well and this CSJ is no exception. Just a very elegant and nicely balanced Rousseau CSJ with fine length and both sweet fruit and some tertiary characters. Not a powerhouse like say the 90 CSJ but more expressive than say 98 Chambertin and Beze.

December 17, 2019 - Not a great vintage, which makes it a stunning surprisingly good wine. Nose was beautiful, floral, opened up really quickly. Complex, will drink again!

October 19, 2016 - Rousseau '92 and '94 Dinner (Scottsdale, AZ): Best Clos St. Jacques I've ever tasted. This is a vineyard I've never gotten as crazy about as many of my Burgundy drinking friends -- until now, I get it. Stunning enticing nose, medium color, unreal power that is completely weightless. This is textbook Burgundy, bravo!

April 29, 2014 - Very much alike the last bottle; amazing for such a miserable vintage; fantastic and rather stern (and serious) complexity with elegant crispness and darn good finish
