December 5, 2012 - My last bottle was pleasant enough, but a bit tired. Cherry, cedar, tar, but a hole in the middle, and tannins take over. Either the vintage was unbalanced or I waited too long, or both. Still a pleasant wine, but Nebbiolo is capable of rising to a higher level than this.
September 7, 2012 - Did something happen since my last tasting in March 2012? The wine I drank yesterday seemed much better; although the tannins did not seem in balance with the rest of the wine, I enjoyed it, from the cherry, cedar and tar nose, to the pleasant sour fruit backed with a nice acid kick. Perhaps its me, or it came out of a funk.
June 17, 2012 - Very different experience for me with this wine. It was very brown around the edges of the glass and the nose was very off at first. Very dry and well integrated tannins. Nice sour cherry and a decent finish. I really enjoyed this bottle..
February 18, 2012 - Over the hill, with scant fruit, acid and too much tannins.
February 16, 2012 - I think this was past is time. Great nose, but thats about it. Acidity was still there but the fruit was bit weak...
January 28, 2012 - Does not disappoint again, even after 12 years. Wow, still going strong. Powerful, but yet subtle. Hard to describe besidea fantastic.
January 17, 2011 - Pop & pour. Classic mature Nebbiolo nose of roses, tar, and forest floor. Silky in the mouth with smooth tannins and medium length. Somewhat drying on the finish. A lovely wine to drink tonight and for at least the next 5-8 years. For those who want to know some of what Nebbiolo has to offer without spending a lot of money or waiting decades for wines to mature, give this wine a try.
June 18, 2007 - Not alot on the nose, nice cherry w some asaragus on the midpalate, finishes with some vegetal flavors

November 5, 2006 - Tipical nose of cherry liqueur, leather, liquorice, tar and mineral nuances. Medium body, ripe and spicy. Tannins intergrated but still noticeable, in the medium dry finish.
