November 23, 2021 - Pale garnet colour. Dried cherry, clay and sweet spice nose. Elegant and dry palate with moderate but approachable tannins and a broad viscosity. Mid-weight with notable minerality in the finish.
    4/5

September 21, 2021 - From La Morra commune. 2 years aging in large Slavonian cask, lower maceration time than most. Medium plus nose shows floral tones, dried cherry, cedar, mushroom, light earth. Palate matches with dried fruit and spice, fresh style, still medium plus tannins looking for protein, but not unapproachable. Nice for drinking young.

September 19, 2021 - Had this with a great meal at La Nonna in Vail. A tannic dark cherry oak bomb at this stage. I really enjoy this wine with some age on it but this is not a pleasurable experience at this stage. The 2010 I had in 2020 was superb but still young so maybe 10-15 years is the sweet spot for the Marcenasco.

September 3, 2021 - Mint and licorice are the most forward and give a good lift to the mid-palate which shows a pleasant amount of acidity.

Solid threads of cherry and I would say the tannins, while present don't obstruct or prohibit any enjoyment now as the grip was on par with naturally sweet, fruity coffee. Decanting did not happen in this instance and I would say this is more than fine to open now.

As already mentioned there's a good amount of oak on this, enough I'd imagine to be a dealbreaker for some but I'm indifferent.

June 10, 2021 - Mat og vin i harmoni på Gaffel og karaffel. Alltid godt med nebbiolo. Helt ok kvalitet. Elegant lett frukt med roser og tobakk litt skjemmende plommestein
