February 9, 2024 - Only one glass from the coravin thus far; deep dark fruit prominent but opens up nicely, “suave tannins.” Will add more on second tasting

January 19, 2024 - This was extremely enjoyable at this stage. Early secondary state, with a nice balance from the still-present primary fruit flavors, and poise on the palate. Punching above its weight.

April 16, 2022 - Splendid bottle. Intense concentration and impeccable mouthfeel. Big, balanced and bold. Still tannins present, soft and integrated ones.
Plenty of deep dark fruit left to complete the experience.

October 17, 2018 - During a burg dinner. This is also on the rustic side but not as bad as the 2000 CdV next to it. The 1999 fruit shines through to make it a bit more pleasant. Still not a Burg experience I would seek out.

January 14, 2016 - No formal notes, but this is still drinking beautifully and will likely last for several more years.

August 19, 2011 - A real bouquet, cherries and red fruits, sappy, minty(?) with a carnal note. Fine, fine grained palate, bright acids, light cherry fruits finishing dry.

July 14, 2010 - Dallas 2nd Wednesday Group - July 2010 (Urbano's in Dallas, TX): Tasted non blind at a wine dinner. Garnet color in the glass. slightly dusty looking. Delicate nose of perfume, berries and cherries. Flavors of berries and cherries. Medium to bright acidity, medium tannins and body. Drink or hold.

December 15, 2009 - Confrerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin Singapore Chapitre de l'Orchidee -10th Anniversaire dinner (The Fullerton Hotel, Singapore): Still very tight, but showing a nice quality to it. Tightly-wound nose, with meaty notes, flecks of wet stone and some high-toned cherry gummy, and bit of euclyptus and violets all mashed together in a rather unyielding package. Again, tightly-coiled on the palate. Great balance was obvious though, with fresh acid, good clean dark cherry fruit and some super-fine, but still frim tannins. Finish was surprisingly gentle, but has good persistence and a great resolution with some fresh fruit notes. Masculine, but suave, a nice NSG.

January 18, 2006 - Very muted nose. Poured straight into the glas, but starts to reveal some flavours after 1 hours but still very muted - very young, fullbodied wine.
What can u expect from a 1999!! Decanting would definately have benefitted this beauty. Really nice midpalate and long finish.
Still some tannins to be integreated. I wish i had more of this as this will surely develope into a really classic burgundy - very nive wine for my palate.
    Wait another 3-5 years.
