March 2, 2024 - Like a great Chablis. The wine needs time to open up and gather air in order to show its best. Lemon lime mineral juice here. Texture is great. So well made, and such a profound value.
November 19, 2023 - next taste about 18 months later and this continues to be really excellent. The qualitative gap between this wine and a Comtes Lafon Meursault and Dujac MSD 1ere on the table was relatively slim.
Generous fruit, no detectable oak but ever so slightly reductive in style, this wine has lots in the tank for years to come. Great winemaking

NOSE: enjoyable, high-toned aromatics with papaya and banana dominating.
BODY: light golden yellow color; medium-light bodied. Diam5 closure.
TASTE: medium+ acidity; fuzzy mineral behind some present-but-taut Chardonnay fruit; comes across as ripe-restrained, and *not* a gloppy overripe oak bomb; fantastic QPR!; just a lovely medium-light Chardonnay that's much more mineral & steel than fruit & oak. 12.5% alc. not noticeable. So happy I bought a few of these. gut impression score: 90 - 92.
August 8, 2023 - Decanted 45 minutes (it helped). White flowers, stone, and lemon on the nose along with some matchstick. Light to medium body with a great acid spine. Nice minerality on a moderately long finish. Still young with upside. Solid 92+
July 31, 2023 - Bottled under Diam 5. Largely consistent with my note from 6 months ago: still slightly reduced and flinty, still with lively orchard fruit and a ringing line of acid. The finish is compact and linear but persistent, flinty, and almost salty. It is its own thing, but it’s not hard to squint and see Chablis here.
July 8, 2023 - What a fantastic bottle of wine.
December 22, 2022 - Aromas open with lightly reduced swirls of crushed stone and white flower, crisp apple, lemon zest, cream. An herbal note emerges on the back, along with yellower, almost tropical fruit, along with the reduction giving an impression almost of a riesling. Palate is lively and light on its feet, but reveals nicely concentrated orchard fruit, a focused acid profile, and a good long finish that focuses on minerality balanced with some light cream. Astonishingly good value…
Perhaps to be expected, this sort of lost energy the third day.
November 15, 2022 - Bright refreshing nose. Citrus and asian pear, jasmine, and a lovely stony sense. Seemingly light to midweighted, but with subtle structure and depth. Plenty of dry extract that comes across with a gentle touch. This has intensity without weight. finishes with cooling fresh herbal notes on the back end. A harmonious wine drinking really well right now with time in hand. A pretty seamless, delicious wine with an unreasonably high level of quality for the price. Outstanding. 92
