February 21, 2024 - A deep cherry-core and a smokey vegetable potpourri on the nose. With air appear more floral notes.
Concentration and balanced sweetness with a licorice on the palate. Quite structured and it never goes to the jammy side.
Best on day 2. Can easily keep for some years. -

December 25, 2023 - I don’t think this was flawed but it’s not a very good wine by my tastes. Wouldn’t recommend as we dumped the last half.

My second tasting of this wine and vintage, reported in CellarTracker -- the first was April 4, 2023; the tasting today was at room temperature, 25 degrees C, versus the 17 of the earlier tasting; there hasn't been much change in the intervening 7 months, although I'm still trying to convince myself that Primitivo really is Zinfandel; the taste really doesn't bear that out
