March 2, 2024 - A nice entry level cdp. The nose is the best feature- cherries, black fruit and kirsch. Pallet slightly thin for me but it is reasonably well balanced overall.

September 18, 2023 - Garrigue, red cherries, plums. Slightly austere. Needs time.

May 7, 2023 - Might have been the food pairing (lamb chops from a wood fired oven), but found this quite lackluster. Or perhaps it was oxidized. Have another bottle, so will pair with something less dramatic and see how it is then.

March 19, 2023 - At a private dinner, Coorparoo. A deep cherry red colour, this wine showed a fresh nose of raspberry and black cherry with touches of blueberry. The palate is foward and rich with a fine texture and length given the foward fruit. there is a touch of undergrowth and minerality on the finish that provides a savoury touch.

March 19, 2023 - Clean nose of bittersweet red fruit with a bit of scorched earth. Medium body on the palate of red fruit that is dominated by the Grenache. Some acidity that indicates some age worthy-ness. Overall, balanced and fruit-forward.

March 13, 2023 - Color of a Volnay. Floral nose. 80% Granache, yes "fresh and elegant fruit" per the label. A CNP? I tasted too many bottles over too many years/decades/half a century to appreciate an effeminate Rhone, better stop here.
My last bottle of the 1978 Vieux Telegraph with paper wrapping remains and I will bring bottle full or empty to inform St. Peter about my cellar preferences expecting he has an angelic sommelier expert in provenance; 100 Points - he may even share a glass.

March 7, 2023 - Alluring character on the nose of fragrant sweet berries and red plum along with the traditional CdP garrigue and dried herbs notes. The palate shows weighty, rich flavors of black cherry, stewed strawberry, licorice, and spice box with assertive, tightly-wound tannins and mild acidity. Needs more time in bottle but still pleasantly enjoyable at this young age.

December 9, 2022 - Good value bottle at a Pasadena french restaurant at the reasonable price of $75. Opened quickly to lots of fruit and increased complexity with licorice and pepper. Nice aromas of tobacco and leather started developing around hour two.
