    March 11, 2023 - Took a taste on pnp on the back of some TNs suggesting this was approachable right out of the gate. Not my experience: this was tight and very tannic right after decant. However, it IS approachable much faster after a decant than I would expect: an hour decant and this was already coming together beautifully. No really dominant side to this: poised almost midpoint between red and dark berry flavors. I did not think this was skewed to raspberry. There is a nice toasty vanilla and a whiff of mocha to this, but nothing excessive. Very harmonious with a lush mouthfeel. One good effect of the early tannic taste: it showed that under the hedonistic love bomb, there is really good structure here that will allow this to mature nicely. Liked it more and more as the evening went on.
    Score : 94-95. Relative to expectations: ++

    Next day: the bouquet was now dominated by vanilla in a way that had me worried about oak in a way I hadn’t been yesterday - which surprised me. However on the palate this really balanced out beautifully. Still very lush but not on the edge of “too much” any more. I think in time it will all come together very nicely.
    Same score and expectations for now….

    January 28, 2023 - First class ticket to Cab nirvana.
    She leaves you wanting more and each sip is a bold memory.
    This is why I love Cab.

    January 5, 2022 - Coravined. Very deep electric magenta color. Dark raspberry, ash, and baking spice on the nose. Smooth, tongue drying palate, with chalky acidity. Firm tannins on the long finish.

    This is very good, but very youthful. It’s more red fruited than I like, almost akin to a ‘17. My least favorite of the Vice Versa lineup, but all of their bottles are pretty amazing.

    December 30, 2021 - PnP at cellar temp. Very nice mouthfeel and big but with well integrated alcohol, had a cool slightly herbal quality that reminded my a of a young SQN Syrah but with less herbal qualities. Potential to go higher in the future.

    December 7, 2021 - Epic Napa Trip - Day 3: Tasted at Wheeler Farms - This was rich and concentrated with a nose that showed plenty of dark fruit, spice, pencil shavings and hints of earthy goodness. The palate showed plenty of red and black fruit, chocolate, hints of anise and forest floor, wrapped in fine tannins and a creamy fruit roll with hints of vanilla and toasted oak. This will likely get better, but is a hedonist's dream right now. As good as it was, I enjoyed the other three wines even more. 94 today, maybe more down the road.
