June 25, 2021 - Bright plummy tart flavors, a bit rustic, with a bit of funk. Serve on the cool side.
There is only so much upside to this grape, but this is absolutely worth a try for sheer interest sake, and this is clearly a top version.

May 19, 2021 - What is fumin? No fumin idea but it is pretty tasty! Dark berry and dark grape skin flavor. Round and very easy-going but with a little tannin and some herbal bitters to keep things interesting.

May 10, 2021 - Really enjoyable. Has a gamay sauvage vibe while maintaining a real purity and stoney imperial nature. Then really has a nice glou demeanor to make you happy. Huckleberry fruits. A slight pickle note adds a layer. A little smoke. Soft texture and rounded out well.

March 27, 2021 - One of my favorites of the recent grosjean releases. This is savory and seems ideally mature. Style reminiscent of burgundy Would drink near term because I don’t see an upside to waiting and so good now. First time w Fumin and I like it.

March 26, 2021 - A little stinky and reduced, this needs air. Aromas of roasted meat, dark miso, red fruits, woodsy peppercorns, cloves, mint, a little licorice. Firmly dry and quite savory on the palate. Tangy dried fruit, spice and cured meat notes linger nicely. Plenty of character, not especially refined, will try again tomorrow.

Still meaty and savory, but the fruit is more present and complex, darker fruit today, tangy elderberry and blueberry syrup. Just a bit more smooth, still a little rustic and rough. I like it. This has left its primary stage and I think it will get more interesting with a few more years under its belt.
