February 12, 2020 - This has improved in the 10+ years since my last note. Initially the nose has a little funk. Palate still surprisingly gritty with tannin. On the good side, More flavor than I recalled and acidity has taken a back seat. Still wouldn’t know it’s Pinot if tasted blind.

October 31, 2018 - Tasted blind. Clear, medium garnet, low viscosity. Med- intensity, red cherry, raspberry, underripe strawberry, mushroom, tobacco, almond, no oak. Fruit more tart on the palate. Dry, med+ acidity, med- tannin, med alcohol. Balanced, med- complexity, med finish. Decent quality.

April 22, 2018 - Holding up remarkably well for a wine at this level. Tar, char, leafy/mints. Leaning towards black fruit; black cherry. Big burst of acidity on the finish. Still a surprising amount of tannic structure.

June 4, 2016 - Nicely restrained, cherry-strawberry with a hint of soil, nervy acidity. Good minerality and medium-long finish.

May 10, 2016 - I don't have a ton of experience with Burgundy, but I thoroughly enjoyed this wine. After about 30-45 minutes it opened up to flavors of sour cherry, and the typical earthiness I get out of Burgundy. Seems to be in a good place now. Stored in my cellar since release.
