December 23, 2023 - Excellent chenin blanc that is actually drinking very well right now. Some exotic fruit on the nose and well as wet sheep but all in all a nicely packaged complex nose that still feels on the elegant side. Quite full wine on the palate with rich and well rounded acidity. We drank this with some Chinese pork belly, rice, steamed veggies and a variety of home made dip sauces.

September 2, 2023 - A little bit of smoke, almost like a tequila. A little bit more fleshed out and rounded than what I remember it being.

August 14, 2023 - There’s citrus on the nose, green apples, smoke and spices. Expressive, vibrant acidity, yellow and green fruits. This is thrilling. There is more intensity here compared to the 2019 Guiberteau Saumur, and it has more character says Susanne. Lovely wine, and there is more to come.

January 23, 2023 - Nose is grassy, chalk, pear, apricot….
Viscous mouth feel…palate matches the nose except a lime zestiness comes in with an unripe white peach finish…
    Really good..

October 7, 2022 - Still painfully young and very tight. That said, this pointed to greatness. A complex interplay of formidable granite-like minerality, intense citrus and green apple, some hay-like anise-like scent, and searing not yet tamed acidity. Shows signs of being able to last a long time but it says a lot that it is only now, after some reflection , that I can say that with confidence. Boudignon has some hype behind him and…. Yep, believe the hype. This was fantastic, highly personalized Savennieres that might be a miracle in another decade.
Had a .375 of Matrot 2017 Meursault/Blagny after this and it says a lot that the Matrot - which struck me as comparatively light and restrained on its own - came across now as massive, opulent, and rich. I shudder to think what I would have thought of a CA chard after this….
Score: 94+. Relative to expectations: ++ at least
