April 11, 2024 - The wine is a beautiful orange brown color . There's a sweet smell of burrt sugar and real maple syrup. This is like adult candy! The sweetness is balanced by a touch of acidity. Glad I can put it in the fridge and drink it for weeks.

October 14, 2023 - Sammamish Port Club - 1970's Ports (Seattle, Washington): What's not to love about this wine. Amazing vanilla and old dusty wood notes on the nose. On the palate are complex layers of Creme brulee, caramel and orange spice. It is rich and decadent, backed by are focused acidity. The finish comes at you in waves of complexity, with the acidity riding shotgun on the very long finish.
June 14, 2023 - Fantastic as always. Extremely powerful.
March 18, 2023 - Sammamish Port Club - March 2023 (Seattle, Washington): Bottled in 2019. Dark amber-orange in color. Wonderful caramel, vanilla and brown sugar on the nose. Rich entry, with caramel and wonderfully smooth flavor profile. This wine always has an amazing balance between the sweetness and lively acidity. This seems much younger than a 40 Year Old Tawny Port.
October 15, 2022 - Sammamish Port Club - October 2022 (Seattle, Washington): Bottled in 2015. Light amber-orange in color. Subtle nose of citrus and dried lemon. On the palate, there are some nice chocolate and light medicinal notes. Nice long finish, and the acidity is there, but there is just a slight off note on this bottle for me.
August 20, 2022 - Sammamish Port Club Grab Bag (Sammamish, Washington): Bottled in 2019. Clear, light amber in color. Vanilla, light spices, and dried fruits on the nose. Rich, intense flavor profile with bright acidity and notes of orange spice. This is a touch more elegant in style than I am used to this wine showing.
March 28, 2022 - Drank over several nights. Just plain out terrific.
March 5, 2022 - Forty Year Old Face-Off (Sammamish, Washington): Bottled in 2015. Amber-orange in color with some light yellow on the rim. Vanilla cream caramel on the nose. Rich caramel and orange spice on the palate. Smooth flavor profile with expansive, mouth-coating mid-palate. This makes me wonder if there might be some white grapes in the blend. Some noticeable acidity on the medium-dry finish.
