February 13, 2023 - The wine is a tasting room-only special blended from mostly Zinfandel from the estate-owned Saitone vineyard. There’s a delicacy here that seems impossible when compared to most jammy California Zinfandel, with so much fruit on the nose that it’s hard to stop smelling and start drinking. When you do, you are rewarded with cool fruit, some spice and perfectly-integrated tanin. It’s no surprise that it comes from a winery most famous for producing sensuous pinot noir.

The wine needed a minimum of two hours in the decanter, and could benefit further from at least another year in the bottle.
