December 16, 2020 - great great wine. do not rush emptying your cellar if you have this. It is really great!

March 22, 1991 - Dark carmine. The bouquet is the best part. Really complex with all sorts of nuances of fruits and oak. The wine is still juicy but should be drunk within the next 1 or 2 years.

March 19, 1988 - Dark purple red. Beautiful somewhat backward bouquet which already shows its complexity, cassis, cigar box, butter, vanilla. In the taste a lot of cassis, good and firm sticky tannin. Liquorice, iron and good acidity. Very long creamy aftertaste with cassis as well. I tasted this wine blind after Latour 1977 and thought this was a 1983 wine. The Cos was much more youth- and powerful.

February 12, 1988 - an educational evening with HdG and PdV (@ My place): There clearly is a bottle difference with this wine. This bottle was much better than expected. Really expressive bouquet with good cassis, oak and liquorice. Same for the taste. Round and much less thin than the previous bottle. Enough tannin for a few more years.

December 31, 1987 - Expressive bouquet with good cassis and oak. Has quite much acidity and is a bit thin/light bodied, but overall it is complex and a real pleasure to drink.
