October 27, 2023 - Wine Club - Aussie Shiraz Theme: Barnyard funk on the nose that slowly dissipates with time. The palate is tart, grippy and bright. Very interesting to try and not what i necessarily anticipate in terms of Australian Shiraz.

This was a great wine to learn something from as it shows how preconceived notions/marketing - in this case around what to expect from an Australian Shiraz - do no service to wine lovers.

    September 17, 2023 - Not sure I get it.
Maybe it will be better in a few years.

June 20, 2023 - Medium body, fruity, round.

May 14, 2023 - I liked it: interesting nose with mineral and bit of forest floor stink, more acidic than your typical central CA bottle (what I’m most familiar with when it comes to Syrah), blueberry and plum on the palate. Didn’t hold up great on day 2, but that’s no big deal for me.

February 27, 2023 - Lean and taut - too much so for my taste. I can see a comparison with Northern Rhone, but the acidity is dominant. Maybe it will ease up in the future? The fruit is not compelling enough behind the acidity at this price point for me to want to get more to find out. Raw.
