May 16, 2020 - Decanted for 30 minutes. Nose of blackberry, plum, vanilla and spice. Ripe black fruit, smoked meat, coffee and spice on the palate. Dense and layered, waves of flavor with a very long finish. Full bodied. A massive wine. Wow! Served with grilled Waygu ribeye steaks.

November 18, 2019 - I see others have experienced flawed bottles. What a shame!

November 10, 2019 - Pop and pour. This had some brett but was quite good underneath if you could put that aside. Plenty of dark fruit left.

October 26, 2019 - Truffles and a couple of bottles: Blind. 1a. Pepper, citrus, chocolate, blackberry - plenty of lift and appeal. Has style and surprising finesse on the palate, lots of sweet fruit but fantastic length and layers of flavour. Still very young but quite thrilling - has really come along nicely in the 10 years since I last tried it.

August 17, 2019 - SQN & BBQ (The Krengels - Bannockburn IL): Small glass, brief note from memory. Good fruit but I found too much volatile acidity here to really enjoy.
