November 24, 2023 - Bought this bottle at La Vite Turchese in Barolo village. Bright ruby color, like a pinot noir. Fine, earthy nose of berries, hay, sunbaked stones. Light to medium bodied on the palate, with beautifully crafted fruit. The tannins are gentle and unobtrusive, though the wine gives an impression of youthfulness. If you've got a few bottles put away, leave them be for 5-10 years and I'm sure you'll be rewarded.

May 23, 2022 - Restaurant Ca del Re, Verduno. Très bon repas. Carte des vins limitée aux vins du Castello di Verduno. Belle couleur typée, assez brillante, nez encore fermé, herbes fraîches, menthe, rose, champignons, griottes, goudron, très légèrement épicé, bouche sur le fruit (fruits rouges, cerises, fraises), alcool encore TRèS présent, tanins très souples pour le millésime, un vin qui se boira parfaitement sur les cinq à dix prochaines années, déjà agréable aujourd’hui

July 8, 2021 - Barolo Crus - A Date with The MGAs Zoom tasting. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity with aromas of dusty rock powder, red florals, elegant red cherries, red licorice spice. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol, good lick of fine high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of classic sour red cherries, elegant high toned red cherry fruit, red licorice spice, deep sweet red plums. Long finish.
Very good quality. Straight and linear focused at the moment. Could get more layered complexity with more age I suppose.
