Great bold juicy cab
May 3, 2020 - The palate features dark fruits, with mostly earthy flavors of tobacco, eucalyptus, and forest floor. There is a medium body and lively acidity which form the backbone of a mature, balanced wine.
April 29, 2020 - Strong dark chocolate (70% cocoa or more) with a ton of black cherry, deep earthy flavors of black mushroom, eucalyptus / mint, and moderate oak. And it has a very long finish (30 - 40 sec), which amazed me. I have enjoyed this exact wine (2004 Cask Cabernet) many times from Magnum, but this 750ml was much better and more evolved than anything else that came before. At peak maturity right now and surprisingly delicious. This Napa Cab is made the old fashioned way - STRUCTURED!
July 31, 2019 - Still has an abundance of life left in it
July 12, 2019 - Drank with Todd Levi. Still has some staying power. Mocha, cherries and with mellowed tannins.
May 6, 2018 - Extremely well balanced wine with a touch of fruit. still has some time left. will wait a fewe years prior to having some more
November 17, 2017 - Drinking beautifully right now, lots of dark and red fruits on the nose with some hints of mocha. On the palate the wine has depth and structure to give you something to think about with every sip but it was soft and smooth. I did not decant this so there was significant sediment at the bottom. This is ready to go from the get go, the wine held up over 3 hours. I don't recommend putting this in a decanter, keep it in the bottle to minimize the oxidation. Enjoy!
June 25, 2016 - Good, extremely mellow and mature. Drink 'em if you got 'em. Don't sit on these any longer.
February 11, 2016 - Cherries and plums with an earth and cedar finish
January 22, 2016 - Nice fruit but a bit simple. Stone fruit and currants with a bit of cedar and leather on the finish.
