May 12, 2024 - Probably needs more time, came across a bit unbalanced
March 3, 2024 - Excellent. Concentrated, medium length. Minerals, light cedar, tobacco, potpourri spice. Minimal fruit.
February 19, 2024 - Color is burgundy red. Nose is interesting, with smoke, cigar box, vanilla, cherry, red fruits, black pepper, florals. Mouthfeel is relatively thin. Palate is spicy, lots of heat on the front, black pepper, red fruit comes through. Flavors are a bit jumbled and alcoholic. Tannins need time to settle down. Overall, this came across as too peppery and lacking in complexity for me.
February 9, 2024 - Deep red in glass, bold up front with smooth finish. A bit of mineral - wonderful in its own and with steak
February 3, 2024 - Nice, smooth
July 22, 2023 - Riktigt bra.
March 21, 2023 - The nose, with its smoke, flowers, cocoa, and wet earth scents is a treat. But it is on the palate, with all its layers of lush, elegant, ripe, silky, blackberries, plums, and cocoa where the wine shines. Soft, supple, long and complex, with a solid depth of flavor in the finish that is packed with ripe fruits, chocolate and coffee bean, this is in contention as the finest vintage of Carbonnieux I have ever tasted. Drink from 2025-2045.
March 6, 2023 - UGCB tasting Bordeaux 2020 Walkaround tasting so in general just short notes (Beurs van Berlage, Amsterdam.): Juicy wine with dark berries, well dosed oak, fresh acidity and slightly sticky tannin. 91 - 92+ for now.
March 6, 2023 - Red berries, cassis, red cherries, quite elegant. Good acidity, leather tobacco hints. Structured yet refined.
March 6, 2023 - Fresh, drinking well already now. Cassis, red cherries, good acidity, yet a bit of heat coming through in the finish.
