February 22, 2016 - Even better than our last bottle in 2012. Still youthful and sublime.

October 26, 2014 - A year and a half after my previous bottle and the wine is in a much more enjoyable place. Loads of cranberry and beet flavors, but not of the liquer flavors that detracted from the last bottle. On the feminine side and no hint of 14.3% alcohol. Balanced and in a lovely place, but I'd drink now as I don't see much room for upside.

June 22, 2014 - Windy Oaks remains one of my favorite pinots and this bottle was yet another example of why. Elegant, flavorful, slightly lean and with plenty of structure and grip. Showing some age with a mixture of bright and dried red fruits, earth, spice and oak. Really lovely texture that is velvety on the mid-palate and slightly tart on the long finish. Elegant, but not feminine and deeply flavored but not heavy. Simply a great pinot that is drinking great and still has plenty of life. 93

March 11, 2013 - No formal notes taken. Wine was opened but not decanted 5 hours prior to dinner.

Nose had lots of tartness cranberry/rhubarb but some sweet strawberry also snuck in along with a liqueur scent that was out of place.

Flavors followed the nose, with the addition of some black tea and spices The liqueur detracted from an otherwise nice wine. Would hold another year.

    14.3% alcohol.

February 21, 2013 - Popped and poured. Tight and very acidic at first, opened up after four hours to reveal a nose of sour cherry, cranberry, raspberry. On the palate, pie cherry, rhubarb, tea, mushroom. Finishes sharp and acidic. I believe this would benefit from more cellar time.
