August 10, 2012 - Aged well, smooth and rich ruby red colour. No hint of bitter tannin bite.

December 28, 2007 - nice ruby colour. very fruit forward nose, lots of dark fruit - blackberry, dark cherry, dried plum. As it opens in the glass more smoke appears. Medium on the palate, very crisp acidity that's almost overpowering - like biting into an unripe apple. Mellow on the initial attack, acidity hits then settles down to a fairly pleasant long finish full of sour cherry, and green strawberry. Drinking this with some smoked cheddar and oka which is working really well. Definitely a food wine, I wouldn't be ashamed to bring this to a wine and cheese or a meal with some lighter fare.
