September 22, 2020 - Not normally a big fan of carignan but this had bright earthy fruit and stood up well and paired well with chorizo and pasta dish with garbanzo beans.

August 21, 2020 - Nice dark fruited rustic nose. Eventually opens to a nice smooth balanced palate. Slightly elevated acidity.

February 7, 2020 - Fantastic wine... drinking beautifully right now. While I’m sure it won’t get any better, it’s got a lot of life in it.

The color is just leaning into a rich, slightly bricked, deep red in the glass. A bit more purple in the decanter.

Rich aromas of leather, ripe cherries, hot baked stones and a touch of oak call out “Come hither.”

The flavor, a perfect blend of earthy, slightly stewed fruit with bright ripe stone fruit and a touch of acidity keeping things lively. A bit of oak mixes with bitter herbaceousness and a touch of licorice. The tans I s are resolved, but still have a nice drying effect on the finished.

I’d like a longer finish, but I can live with more frequent sips.

Don’t wait on this bottle. Open it. It’s a treat.

December 30, 2019 - This would have been fun double blind. The nose reminds me of Graves actually, with torrefied cedar, plum brandy, and cherries. Sweet fruit accompanied by herbs and hot cocoa. Cozy. In a good spot now.

March 16, 2019 - Very nice nose of black plum, bing cherry, vanilla, and green pepper. Tannins are still present and leave a bitter finish. Not sure more time will help, but nice and drinkable now
