February 27, 2024 - Pale straw gold.
Rather fragrant lychee, muscat notes
Off dry with nice fruit and acidity.
Blind, I was convinced this was a higher quality Alsatian blend.
Lovely and tasty, but this seem atypical for classic Sauvignon? Or perhaps I haven’t had enough Sancerre lately… ?
March 17, 2023 - I think this could be a 'go to' white wine for many foods. Absolutely delicious. Refreshing but with substance. Good minerality.
November 15, 2022 - Moved out of our Sauv. Blanc comfort zone on this one, into a region I’m not as familiar with, the Loir. Delicious. A touch of sweetness that melds with an overall dry offering. Orange zest, wet stones and tropical notes. Went surprisingly well with tonight’s shrimp scampi. Drink now. Worth Seeking Out.
July 3, 2022 - Excellent wine. Great citrus, but not too overpowering or sweet.
April 27, 2022 - I do like this Sancerre. It has tropical fruit, some lychee nut, good minerality, some grassy notes too, a little chalk and a medium finish.
February 9, 2022 - Chard-like
January 28, 2022 - Very light gold color.
Road fruit profile from citrus to tropical, vanilla and limestone.
Nice body and texture, very fruit forward with lots of minerality and some grass. Great acidity and a lengthy finish. Excellent.
December 31, 2021 - Pale & light gold in color. Full, forward & aromatic nose of ripe fruit aromas of lemons/lime zest, apples & gooseberries with overtones of floral & mineral notes, stony/chalky, herbs & a hint of grassiness in the background. Light bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, zesty, ripe fruit flavors of lemons/limes, apples & white grapefruit with minerals & some herbs. Lingering crisp finish. Drinks quite well at present & may develop further with a few additional years.
December 24, 2021 - Really delicious. Has plenty of body and character. Paired with the Puff Pastry Goat Cheese appetizer we learned to make in the Perigord region and it transitioned nicely to a Duck Sugo Raviolo on Butternut Squash Puree (though the Chateau Tiregand red was a better pairing with the duck. A friend bought it and I'd buy it again.
December 2, 2021 - 2+ months after the prior: again this strikes us as on the richer side. But it’s got good acidity, providing backbone. Very enjoyable over three nights.
