July 2, 2023 - Ten years ago I said this would last a long time, and it has. It has barely evolved since then with waxy sweet apples and a decent amount of botrytis. Classic sweet chenin. I doubt it will have changed much in another decade.

June 29, 2014 - Now a deeper golden yellow, with copious red apple, lemon, honey and nutty, mushroom aromas, this wine shows that perfect combination of acidity, sweetness and alcohol to accompany a saffron creme brulee. It's not at all cloy or heavy on the palate, and lingers beautifully in the mouth.

May 11, 2013 - This has everything I want from a moderately aged sweet Chenin Blanc. The hue is mid-golden, the nose is rich and complex, with unfolding layers of red apple, honey, citrus and mushroom. The taste is equally rewarding, being sweet but with a good acidity, leaving it pure and refreshing. The finish is carried by the acidity and underlying minerality, and lingers well.

February 11, 2013 - Deep gold. Wonderfully intense and long. Mandarins, marmalade, honey, maple syrup, hazlenuts, almonds, jasmine, chamomile tea, brandy snaps. Rich and complex but with superb balance and tingling acidity. Very good. Drinking very well now. Showing a good degree of development but no rush.

January 1, 2013 - Lovely wine, great with blue cheese. Very sweet, some botrytis but plenty of mature apple flavours. Tastes properly mature though it should go on for many years yet.
