March 6, 2023 - UGCB tasting Bordeaux 2020 Walkaround tasting so in general just short notes (Beurs van Berlage, Amsterdam.): Beautifully ripe white fruits like apple and pear. A firm dose of beautiful oak, beautiful acidity and the great length with a tiny bit of sweetness makes this wine a great pleasure to drink. 92+
March 6, 2023 - The 2020 vintage UGCB tasting in Amsterdam 03/06/2023 (Amsterdam): A hint of peach and pear, super fresh, juicy and tasty, good bitters and a lovely, balanced aftertaste; a joy to drink and, at this level, a surprise for me.
January 9, 2023 - (83% Sauvignon Blanc, 17% Sémillon, 13.7% Alkohol) Frische, kräuterige Nase, Zitrusfrüchte, dezente Reduktion, steinige Noten. November 25, 2022 - White Bordeaux is in ultimate heaven in Pessac / Graves. Semillion makes such a mark on density, exotic essence , and richness. Flavors and aromas of yellow apple, dry gooseberry, Malura fruit, lemon curd, dry blood orange, Bosc pear, field grass, and warm banana Foster. Mouth filling, warm weight, modest acidity. Very satisfying… just lacks a bit definition and crisp acidity. At $59 a bit overpriced for the experience.
May 23, 2021 - 92-94 vvPunkte (83% Sauvignon Blanc, 17% Sémillon, 13.7% Alkohol) Trübe Farbe, ein wahres Fassmuster. Kräuterige Nase, zitrische Noten, Gräser, Stein. Im Gaumen mit Frische und Saftigkeit, sehr gute Säure, wirkt balanciert, noch jugendlich, wild, hat aber Rasse und dürfte sich gut entwickeln. Kein einfacher Moment, diesen Wein zu verkosten, aber hier schlummert was sehr, sehr Gutes... (April/Mai 2021)
May 20, 2021 - Honeysuckle, white peach, yellow tropical fruit, waxy lemon and lawn grass aromas make for a catchy perfume. Sweet, creamy, juicy and fresh with loads of sweetness and lift in the finish, this will be beautiful to enjoy on release. 92
April 23, 2021 - Touch more golden
Lovely rich and weighty nose, yet delicate too, with hints of pineapple, cream, and fine oak.
The palate leads with some nice oak, although this does come out more intensely (and with tannin) later on; very good fruit matches this, but it isn’t perfectly balanced.
