March 26, 2024 - Deep, dark garnet, inky, opaque in color. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & cassis with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, spices, tobacco, anise, cocoa, espresso, herbs & a bit of cedar in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, plush, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & boysenberries with spices, herbs, minerals, coffee/cocoa & a hint of oak/vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present but has the structure to develop further with additional aging. An indicative belnd of Merlot, Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon.

September 11, 2023 - St. Emilion Grand Cru Classés Walkaround tasting, so just short notes (Amsterdam): 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Juicy red and dark berries, good acidity and a firm amount of round but sticky tannin. 92 - 93

March 21, 2023 - Flowers, cherries, espresso, licorice, and smoke create the perfume here. The wine is full-bodied, deep and long, with richness. intensity, and lift, giving you a solid backdrop for all of its supple-textured, chocolate covered, red fruits on the mid-palate and in the finish. This is an outstanding vintage for Chateau Dassault! Drink from 2024-2040.

March 6, 2023 - UGCB tasting Bordeaux 2020 Walkaround tasting so in general just short notes (Beurs van Berlage, Amsterdam.): Dark berries and beautifully dosed oak in this full bodied and also elegant wine with beautiful juicy acidity and sticky tannin.
