February 22, 2020 - What a great experience it was to drink this wine last night. Bottle was in great shape, with fill just a couple of cm below the cork. The cork was fully saturated and not easy to get out. Double decanted morning before service. Color was amazing - translucent garnet with some undertones of bricking. Nose - just perfect old Nebbiolo. Fruit was sweet, well delineated, with nice balance and strong finish. So often these old bottles under perform. Not last night.
