October 19, 2008 - {cork, 13%} A dull garnet. Hmmm. An aged nose of sweaty damp earth & leaves, mushrooms - all secondary characters. A little bottle-stink blows off, but its still pretty feral. The palate is lightly varnishy, with fine grapey tannins and persistent flavours, even if they are all fairly simple & earthy. Front-palate weighted and a disappearing finish cap off a wine of no great interest, really.
