April 12, 2012 - An altogether lovely wine. From magnum. The nose is quite forthcoming and fruit-driven but has eveived frim the somewhat grasssy varietal character of ten years ago to a more gentle and harmonious character. Intense, ripe fruit on entry, again without any significant grassiness. Lovely balance and persistence of flavor. A beautiful example, and should continue to drink well. The Silex usually demands a higher price but I am partial to this wine.

June 13, 2010 - Bright color, a little thin on the edges. Rich nose, with pineapple/golden delicious notes, and maybe a touch of raisins (maderized?). Buttery flavor, but slightly metallic on the back side. No score, as this bottle may have been bad. Or the wine is over the hill.

May 10, 2008 - A fantastic wine. Drank it this evening with Miso black cod and a kind of japanese risotto. Varying flavors, with plenty of acidity and fruit, even after 13 years. Probably not a lot of life left, but still fantastic now. As stated previously for this wine, unlike Silex in every conceivable way. Go DD!

February 25, 2007 - Deep green gold color. Rich aromas of quince, fresh butter, green almonds, pineapple and mint. Rich and viscous mouthfeel but with the acidity of a two year old wine. Textured flavors stone, mint, pineapple and cream are amazingly fresh after 11+ years. The finish is long and a bit prickly, almost like a botrytis wine. The mineral and ripe fruit flavors just keep coming. Mature, but seems in no danger of cracking up. Fantastic showing!
