February 2, 2024 - Copper hues. Quite a bit of oxydization notes, cut pear cut apple, apple cider. Good acidity, creamy mousse. Minerality. This bottle disgorged Jan2021.
December 24, 2023 - Apricot, nutty.
October 3, 2023 - This is a fine bottle of Champagne for lovers of Blancs des Noirs with plenty of body and grip defined by its red cherry, pomegranate and red apple fruits on the nose and palate all backed by a fine mousse, lovely savoury brioche nots and a rich vinosity and mineral grip. While very much a food wine, its very good as a solo act for lovers of Red Burgundy !
August 26, 2023 - I båten på Djurö.
March 31, 2023 - Absolutely decent but a little uninspiring. “Vinous”. Nice Pinot flavours with some cherry and tart, red apples to the fore. Felt this lacked a bready richness we were looking for, though. 100% Pinot Noir with 50% from Grand Cru Verzenay and 50% 2016 vintage. Expensive for what it is: “absolutely decent”.
March 4, 2023 - Great champagne. Round and balanced. Great length and ready to drink
February 27, 2023 - #champagne2023, now bottle #9 was my first go with this exquisite Bollinger cuvée - such force & precision already today (degorged Jan 2021). Beautiful pale golden, sincerely small & focused pearlage. Nose brimes w red fruit & berries - red apples, strawberries, cranberries, grapefruit + blood grape, nutty & toasty scents & lemon. Palate is full-bodied, vinous w balanced acidity & intensity, round, pleasant mouthfeel, packed, fine-tuned mousse while finishing on a savoury, opulent & caramelized note. Fantastic!
January 9, 2023 - Crisp. Tart apple and crunchy red fruit
Tasty but not brilliant QPR... Maybe needs time to open up
December 31, 2022 - over- aggressive bubbles. I tried it in a coupe glass and it helped. Simple, tangy with an immediate, short, clipped finish. The only mediocre bottle of Bollinger I have had.
October 6, 2022 - Still young, but very vibrant. Needs time to develop more complexity and depth.
