October 29, 2023 - I refer to my previous note. Remains accurate 6 months in. Except the beeswax which feels less obvious now. Being 2018 I would expect an overripe monstrosity. Nothing of the sort on the palate or even the drive and acidic spine. It only shows on the nose with a more exotic nose than you would otherwise associate with Chablis. It goes from mature to relatively lean as it transitions from nose to palate. Some grassy and vegetal elements work their way in as the palate develops. There is reductive winemaking imprint on the entry. Colour me "intrigued" as I further my Chablis education.

July 13, 2023 - I found it fatter and smoother than the 2017 bottle drunk in November 2022.
Aromas of apple, citrus, dried figs, quince, cookies with butter.
    Light spicy notes.
Silky and savory. Sharp in the mouth with a nice expression of minerals. Spicy notes on the finish, along with a slightly accentuated savoriness. Very long.

February 21, 2023 - Bottled September 2021, SO2 libre < 3mg/l, SO2 total 25 mg/l. The apple, citrus and orchard fruit is ripe but perfectly fresh, and it is balanced by scintillating acidity - quite a feat in this ripe vintage, and it gives this concentrated but relaxed wine a wonderful drinkability. The long élévage delivers characteristic yeasty notes, but they provide added complexity without distracting from the fundamental Kimmeridgian terroir expression. Very fine bitters provide grip, the purity and precision are flawless, and resonance and length on the layered finish are very good. A masterpiece by Thomas Pico. Will age, but never better than today in my opinion. All elements are in perfect harmony, "rien ne dépasse".

February 17, 2023 - Quince and moderate flinty note on the nose. Beeswax too. More oily texture reminiscent of Côte de Beaune white rather than Chablis. Some light 'perlant initially. Persistent finish and multi-layered. Nowhere as overripe as I feared for a 2018. Quality winemaking if not prototypically Chablis.
