September 15, 2022 - North London TWS Tastings series: South Africa (Must and Lees, N1) (Must and Lees N1): Very perfumed nose - dried roses, oud, old leather couch (a vintage Eames lounge chair)
On the palate the light burns bright but very short then an acidic lean and mean finish kicks in.
    Long past its prime.

September 15, 2022 - Some years - at least a decade - past its best, but still just about alive - possibly in its death throes - and fun to try, with some recognisable read across from the much more in-the-land-of-the-living and terrific 2009.

September 15, 2022 - Smells incredible - old cupboards, fruit compote, plums, cigars... But it's almost dead. It is way past its peak... Dusty, wispy, fleeting. Thin, febrile, frail. Finished.

September 15, 2022 - South African wines of North London (Must & Lees): This was great at first - vibrant, yet redolent of medieval libraries, bonfires and old ladies' perfume. Lots of acidity and still some fruit, but barely any finish and it seemed to run out of steam after a few minutes in the glass.
