Community Tasting Notes 3

March 15, 2011 - Very pleasant nose with black cherries. // On the palate, vanilla with hints of green pepper and spice. Finish has a nice leafy green salad aspect to it. Well balanced and enjoyable.

January 25, 2009 - Intense aroma of blackberries and cigars that carried through on the palate. Robust acidity to balance out the fruit. Also, a menthol, medicinal quality. Tasty with pizza!

October 2, 2007 - Rich blackberry aromas overlaid with very interesting smokey aromas, more intense than my expectation from excessive oak. On the palate, this wine explodes with black licorice, blackberries, raspberries, and a very clear soy sauce flavor (but in a good way). Liquid smoke comes through on the finish. Very interesting and quite different from my expectations of a Shiraz. A delight and fantastic QPR.
