July 4, 2022 - Boisterous fruit with a pinot-like structure. Red berries and peaches with hints of spice. Light body, bright acidity, grippy tannins.

June 7, 2022 - What starts out as wood smoke and graphite, somehow evolves into crushed cherries, raspberries and rubbed sage as 2018 Etna Rosso Arcuria blossoms in the glass. This is supremely silky and pure with juicy acidity energizing its red and blue berry fruits, further complemented by hints of tangerine and rosy inner florals. There are only nuances of fine-grained tannins that linger, as hints of licorice and a bitter tug of pips and seeds slowly fade. While the 2018 is perfectly seated in its drinking window, I do advise an hour decanting. -- as well as a large-bowled Burgundy glass.

February 22, 2022 - This wine is concentrated and complex with lots of character. It’s quite a challenge to try to pick out all the flavors, but for starters, I’ll go with cranberry, papaya, rose water, and star anise. The mouthfeel is at once fresh and juicy, yet also thick and tannic. Objectively, this is great wine. Subjectively, I don’t like it much. The overall flavor and textural profile don’t appeal much to me.

February 12, 2022 - Flavor of red berries. Quite nice and elegant in the mouth. Just easy.

November 20, 2021 - Short note - Wild strawberries, Herbeacious, balsamico, well structured, medium+ tannins, medium finish, needs a bit time and lacks some complexity, solid concentration. 88p
