  March 30, 2024 - Roast beef pan juices, blackberry, pepper, spice, still the violets of youth are there and then not. Steely threads of tannins, outstanding balance and length. Superb. I’ve sometimes wondered if it’s better to drink these Clonakilla SVs young as they are so good at that stage, but this bottle is an argument for being patient.

  February 10, 2023 - Bob's cellar. Quite light red, still a hint of inky darkness, no bricking at all. Nose is red fruit, vibrant, peppery, deep and fine. Tasting shows a firm and fine Shiraz, age has smoothed the edges. Spicy, pepperiness to this, fruit is good - bright redcurrants, liquorice, and blackberry, firm tannins, and still some retained austerity. A lighter version of what can be a full wine and works well.

  December 4, 2022 - Drank wth bbq steaks. Lovely wine, tannins soft and subtle, floral notes almost. Spices, black fruit. Lots of sediment in bottle at this stage with the age. My last bottle, this could have gone further though
