July 2, 2023 - Nice, brightish sangiovese fruit. A little underdeveloped and not that deep, fine as a summer/spring quaffer. Think her Le Trame clearly superior.

Medium-plus ruby purple, youthful color with no bricking; aromatic, black fruits, spice, cinnamon and cedar; medium bodied, approachable medium tannins, balanced 13.5% alcohol, medium-plus acidity, darker fruits; finish is medium-plus length. Superb Sangiovese, as usual more typical and the red fruited and elegant Le Trame, but no less good. 92
60-90 min air: balanced, elegant, high quality sangiovese. Showing a bit more balance in the nose and palate with blended spice and fruit. 92-93+ -

Palate is cherry cranberry minerality tartness lightly drying tannins…
It’s a very nice Sangiovese that exudes good nose and flavor and stays clear of the really dry experience of many chiantis,,,,

January 6, 2023 - Popped and slow ox'd for about 2 hours. Medium to dark ruby color. Very aromatic nose of roasted plum, cherry, anise, high toned purple florals, a touch of baking spice and definitely some black licorice. Similar flavors on the palate with dark and juicy red fruits along with the floral notes and anise/licorice flavors. Medium+ acid and tannin. Has a freshness and delicateness to it but still carries a lot of flavor and structure. Very impressive wine.
