October 24, 2012 - I loved this wine! Garnet hue, aromas of black fruit and licorice. Dry, medium acidity, high intensity; low-medium tannins. Flavors of black fruit- dark cherries mostly. A tobacco flavor comes through on the finish. Medium-long finish. This wine starts out smooth and quickly develops into a full, luscious mouth-feel. I prefer dry, smooth but full wines with even tannins. Not a big fan of "fruit forward" wines. This is a favorite with me. p.s. I love all the TO wines, it seems. One of my favorite wineries.

October 3, 2009 - another outstanding effort from TO ... let it breathe and WOW aromatics of spices and raspberry, loads of luscious red fruits on the palate and finishes with what is becoming the trademark of TO wines - a long lingering finish ... 87% Grenache 13% Petite Sirah -... YUM ... 90+

April 17, 2009 - Very smooth drinking with a simple pop and pour, tons of black cherries on the palate. Medium length finish, very enjoyable to pair with BBQ turkey burgers, didnt linger over the tasting of it, just wishing I had more.

September 27, 2008 - Nice light color, ruby see through red. Nice cherry and rasberry flavors, easy drinking soft in the mouth with enough structure to indicate that it will hold for a while (up to 5 years would be my estimate). Consistent with the 2005 vintage.

July 11, 2008 - Served at approx. 60 degrees. Decanted for about half an hour, probably needed about 15 more minutes to fully open up. Color: Garnet. Cherry and spices on the nose, particularly after having a bite of the smoked mozzarella. The cheese really caused the cherry scent to come through. When sniffing after a bite of the chorizo, there was a smoky quality to the nose. Across the palate, hints of cocoa, cherry, smoke, and spices. Plain mozzarella enhanced the flavor of cocoa. Tomato and zucchini brought out more fruit flavoring - berries of all the summery sorts. Very light tannins, and just a touch of a bite of alcohol. The finish gave a little burn, but more like the burn you get from a particularly tasty salsa. Overall, fairly well-balanced, well structured wine.
