August 22, 2022 - The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are fast. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like black pepper, green olive and tobacco. It tastes like raisin. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture.

    Cabernet Franc (100%)
    13.5% ABV
    20 year-old vines
    Biodynamic / Natural wine

Purple-raspberry colored, not quite opaque, the wine opens up on black olive, dead leaf and blueberry aromas.
Quite perfumy - almost like a bowl of potpourri - dried flower medley characteristics.
Upon tasting, the flavor profile is atypical and old-school in nature : pine resin, lead pencil, cedar, eucalyptus, smoke and a lick of bell pepper that brings a vegetal tone that is often perceived with the varietal.
Some non-distinct red fruits are there too, albeit in small proportion.
Quite thin, but still tannic. The finish is shorter, pepper and cinnamon show up on the back-end.

Very specific tones of essential oils/aftershave (aggressive!) to this bottle, possibly reinforced by the 8-month aging done in oak vats.
This, the lightness of the ensemble and the small amount of fruit flavors somewhat limit the wine.

However, quite an interesting flavor profile!
Incisive and youthful, it is best drunk at a cooler temperature (12-15 Celsius)... helps it stand better on its legs and make its beautiful uniqueness stand out.
The aromatic palette is colorful and complex: lots to pick out.
    Well worth exploring!

    July 19, 2021 - 100% Cabernet Franc
    Medium ruby with purple tint.

Upon opening, blueberry jam appears instantly. It quickly gives way to graphite, pencil shavings, white pepper, green leaves with their dried branches and a gamey character. The olfactive experience is then taken over by a very strong aftershave component, mixed with yeasty olive bread dough.

On the palate, it's an easy drinking wine at first. It goes down easily and has a nice, round mouthfeel with some texture. Black olives with french spices, ground coffee and cedar essential oils, medium tannins and good acidity give way to a short and spicy finish.

Buy a glass, or split a bottle between friends on a simple weekday evening.
Unique drinking experience, with some nice complexity and nice flavors. Unfortunately, it is over oaked and the multitude of layers are somewhat lost behind a thick aftershave veil, sometimes peeking through and showing very good 90pts potential, then hiding again, making you wonder what could've been.
