December 23, 2023 - Classic Graves tobacco on the nose on pouring (after a 90 minute decant) with some air there's a raspberry bonbon sweetness too. Some plum fruit and a hint of iodine. Palate is very savoury and more-ish with some meatiness and some autumnal leaves. Lovely if not quite at the heights of an 1989 enjoyed ten days ago.

December 5, 2023 - 3 hours decant. This bottle seems like in a perfect place right now. A little barnyard in the beginning but it vanished after half an hour. Lovely fat texture with Blackberries, tobacco, leather, chocolate and an earthiness dominating. Very little acidity and tannin left and drying a bit in the end.

September 3, 2023 - No decant needed, improved over 2 hours drinking from bottle. Tobacco, capsicum, layers of wet stone, superb. Complex and long finishing.

August 24, 2023 - Opened and drank immediately Beautiful light red color and wonderful mature nose. Thick viscosity. When in the mouth you feel the age. Still a good glass but on the downhill. Plums and raisins on the fruity side. But the tertiary notes dominating. An earthy and mature fell dominating (and I like it) Vanilla, leather, tobacco, acetone. Short aftertaste. It’s very easy to drink due to its lack of tannins and acidity. The bottle was almost empty before the meal was ready :-(

May 24, 2023 - Blackberry, smoke, vanilla, musk, cigar box.

Chewy tannins, nice density and a long, somewhat oaky finish.
